The whirlwind of eBay Holiday selling just took total control over my life and is still really doing it. Stock and price checks have gone from taking about 1 1/2 hours to nearly 4. It's crazier now than at any time during the Holiday push. Time consuming and intricate is this work. It's also not for the feint of heart. Customer relations over failed products can be testy and even more time consuming, however I'm very glad to have it. Feedback from several satisfied, happy, this is "just what I needed!" customers make it all worthwhile. And then there is the feedback from the Customer whose item I fell on at packaging prep.... couldn't fix it, had to cancel, she is not very understanding. The amazing thing to me is that it took her 6 weeks to post the feedback. I didn't know customers could wait this long to post feedback so it was a learning experience. In any event, I will be glad when stock and pricing return to normal so I can get on with finding and providing items that folks want rather than spending my time checking up on every item.
It seems like life is a lot like eBay. Details, checking things out, finding what we want, returning it because it just didn't work out, looking for more, comparing value, being ecstatic when we find what we want and it's perfect, every day looking to see if things are stable or if you have to change something, sometimes getting caught in a change and having to eat it and sometimes falling on it totally destroying it.
I wonder what St. Peter would say when I show up if I ask him what his feedback rating is? Just wondering.
Here's to a new NEW YEAR. I hope you all find what you are looking for and enjoy your search. You never know how many pennies short of a dollar your life may be!
